Sinkhole Causes Lane Closure on Dale Mabry Highway
LUTZ, Fla. — Motorists traveling on southbound Dale Mabry Highway are advised to expect delays after a sinkhole appeared just south of Lutz Lake Fern Road.
The sinkhole developed on the shoulder of the road, prompting the closure of one southbound lane. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is on scene assessing the situation and working on a repair plan.
Drivers should be mindful of the lane closure and potential traffic congestion in the area. At this time, officials have not provided an estimated time for repairs; further updates will be issued as they become available.

Local authorities urge drivers to slow down, follow posted signs or detours, and allow extra travel time while crews address the damaged roadway.
